i am always speed-rereading this book for academic purposes it seems... not that i'm skimming, even, just that i'm shoving hours and hours of reading it into 2 days

this book gets better every time!!!!!

still fucking fantastic, even speed-rereading.

“es como si nunca hubiéramos estado ahí” is going to be bouncing around in my head for a WHILE. this book really does deserve all the hype and good things that have been said about it. not to be like “required reading,”… but… the violence and difficulty of trans existence but also the love and care and magic… “ser travesti es una fiesta” as angie said!! god. book good :)

why has it taken me this long to really get into this book. oh my god. wow is this good.
also. thinking about the employee at the bookstore who watched me buy this book & el vampiro de la colonia roma together… they were probably like what 👁👁 girl…

god the way this is written is just. so beautiful at times but so so brutal. i love it. i love when a book feels like it’s punching me in the stomach.

not sure how i feel about the introduction immediately deadnaming the author, but, well.
