It really was, some lovely illustrations too. It made me want to go there, but I was busy today. There are a couple of places I'd like to look up. It made me think it would be nice to go for a mini break there, which seems ridiculous when I live so close, but that's the problem. I tend to go for 2-3 hrs, and head home; it would be nice to have more time to explore further.

Lovely! I know what you mean about ducking in and out of a city for a quick time. It is nice to be "on the ground" and explore in a different way.

Yes, I think I'll do it when there is a play on at t!he Theatre Royal I'd like to see.

I think you'd really enjoy the book Elizabeth. There is a copy available to read online at Internet Archive of you use that.
