What would you rate the book? I would rate it a solid 8/10 why? I rated it a 8/10 because the book was pretty slow in the beginning. I felt like it just didn't deliver what it should have. Also with the setting and the type of book the could have done many possibilities. But no they used the classic cases and culperates. That's why I rate it a 8/10

Amanda has tried to kill her husband. That shows she's evil and not to be trusted. The detective shouldn't trust her.

Whats this book about? This book is about Reed Fergeson who is a very intelligent and skillfull detective is solving a mystery why a man disappeared. Reed meets up with the victims wife Amanda. Reed deals with some trouble along the way and a plot twist happens.

Was there anything in the story so far that shocked you? Not really, I mean I knew from the start Amanda had tried to get rid of her husband. But it was interesting to find out she hired people to kill him. I sort of didn't expect that but at the same time I did.

Setting. The setting isn't that well developed. I was very confused what time this story takes place. I thought it was 50s or 60s but Its the 80s (I think based on clues). Where it takes place was also confusing. I wish the setting was more developed so I could follow along better.

How would you rate the book so far. I would give it a 3.5/5. This is because it's a good book but it was a little predictable. Also the story has progressed a lot but it's getting sort of slow with the story development. Also the characters aren't fully developed like you do not know where they come from.

One thing that surprised me was when you find out the wife hired people to kill her husband but they never could kill the husband because he didn't arrive to Philadelphia.

The character Amanda is unsympathetic. She is unsympathetic because she doesn't care that her husband is missing and she also was going to try to kill him but she didn't. The detective also feels she's hiding something from him and is playing games with him. These are the reasons why she is unsympathetic
