Notes:
(1) This sequel is more "Godfather Part III" than "Part II."
(2) Out of nowhere, we get Cordelia's old flame, who's also an addict.
- In his case it's hard drugs, not just sex and alcohol.
- At the end of issue #3 he actually does something interesting, not just swaggering around like a bad-boy.
(3) The first issue was good, everything since has been pure mediocrity.

Notes:
(1) Millar writes some pretty dark and twisted stuff. Occasionally, he'll crap out something entirely milquetoast. This is decidedly the latter.
- Is as if he thought we'd all be too distracted by all the explosions and human detritus to expect logic at all.
(2) This one was too grand for its own good.
- Too little attention paid to characters and personal struggles.

Notes:
(1) My assumption that mob movies played a key role in developing this series is pretty much confirmed by blurb.
- Saying it has "Guy Ritchie-style gangsters," continues with the theme.
(2) Stuart Immonen takes over art duties here. Like Coipel last series, I haven't read any of his stuff either.
- I don't expect to be impressed, unless he wows me with panel layouts.
