Ponyboy won the trial and he gets to stay with his brothers. He is still grieving over the death of Johnny and Dally. His teacher, Mr. Syme, gave his a deal. If he comes up with a good theme for his paper, he will pass him with a C. Ponyboy gets mad at Darry because Darry yells at Ponyboy to do his homework. This book was a really good book. I would recommend this book to any body who wants to read a great book.
