As an (also SEA, not Vietnamese though) immigrant daughter, this book hits HARD so far. Beautifully written, sometimes difficult to grasp due to the outstanding lyricism, it really resonates with me. The experiences and stories told are a harsh reality for immigrant children and I'm afraid I'm going to sob uncontrollably sooner or later because of them :/ But I also find it somewhat comforting? I feel seen somehow.
