WAIT WAIT WAIT - how on earth does he survive I’m so confused

This is a nice change of genre for me! The historical fiction aspect was intimidating at first but the writing does a good job at giving context for the people, aka me, who don’t already know the exact history. But also the cute little romance blooming? And the fact this is a true story!? So very cute
