Read a few reviews and Emelyn is apparently 17. She acts so naive, I thought she was maybe 13-15... And I thought Corran was MUCH older than her, I mean, he was married and had a kid and Emelyn thought of him as a man, not as an age equal. Characters are not well developed or explained.

Really waffling between 3 and 4 stars on this one. Will let it percolate as I work today and see how I feel by the end of the day. The beginning was rather bland and the characters weren't overly developed, but the plot picked up and the characters grew a bit on me, though they never became fully 3D for me, I still cared a bit about them. Interesting book.

Pace is picking up, characters are growing a bit more. Some mysteries are becoming more obvious, but not in a horrible way, yet. Only able to read in fits and starts, but that works for this book.

I'm 17% of the way into this and I'm still confused about where this is going. It's not confusing, just kind of...blah? It's just not that exciting. Though some nude men described that isn't quite kiddie friendly. Be warned.
