"His temper, which seemed to be bubbling beneath the surface, was reaching boiling point" (244). This line is alliteration because it said“bubbling beneath…boiling". This is also metaphor because temper is not an object, therefore cannot "reach boiling point".

"Her voice shot and died" -Mrs. Figs. This Personification doesn't actually mean that her voice died. This means that she just stopped talking.

"Harry awoke half-past five the next morning as abruptly and completely as if somebody had yelled in his ear" -Narrator. This simile means that Harry was so tired because he is up at 5:30 a.m. He is referring to someone yelling into his ear because both yelling into someone's ear and the feeling of waking at 5 a.m. are annoying.

Harry is very confused. Mrs. Weasley doesn't think that Harry is in the Order Of The Phoenix because he is not old enough and Sirius thinks he should be in it. This shows that Harry is not sure who's side he should be on and if he wants to be in or not.

Mrs. Weasley had changed character traits. She was nice in the previous books and now she mean. She used to let Harry sleep at her house and now, she yells at Sirius"FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE! THERE WAS NO NEED! I HAD ENOUGH OF THIS!(85)"-Mrs. Weasley

Harry's life is terrible at this point. First, Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia blame Harry on what happened to Dudley, which was vomiting and turning green. He didn't even do any of this. Second, he had been expelled from Hogwarts from using illegal magic, which is terrible because he is on is 5th year at Hogwarts and he will loose his friends. This shows that he is unhappy but this could change.

Dudley is a very mean cousin. Harry went to compliment him on his nick name, Big D, and then Dudley screamed "Shut it". This shows Dudley does not show respect to his cousin because he respects his father and not Harry.
