In today's standards, the case would find Tom Robinson innocent because there is enough evidence from the defendant and no strong opposing evidence from the prosecutor. Based off the facts rather than accusation of just thoughts, the jury should open their eyes and see that this case is just a cover up for Bob Ewell.

I think what Atticus says about the court being the place where all men are created equal should be pertaining to every where inside or outside of the court. The decision of the jury that Tom Robinson is found guilty should be based of honest ideas and opinion, not based on ethnicity or race. When Mayella's cross examination is compared to Tom Robinson's, it is clearly stated that she is creating a bluff on the fly.

I honestly think from areader's perspective that it is great how Scout, Jem, and Dill are able to be in the court because it shows us what is happening. However, from the perspective of the children, they shouldn't be there because of the adult influence and language.

I think that by the looks of the trial of Tom Robinson, Tom will probably be able to be free because of how Atticus assesses the situation. I foreshadow that if Tom Robinson gets free, he will get lynched because of the people like Mr. Ewell. I like how Atticus shows no fear in what he is doing at the moment, and takes the case very confidently, not even judging the opinions of the people in the room.

Calpurnia is like a motherly figure toward Jem and Scout. She aids them with everything, teaches the things that school and Atticus can't teach, but most importantly she teaches them the perspective of African Americans during that time.

I thought in general Aunt Alexandra's presence is not a good sign for the Finch family because she forces them to make decisions that they don't want to make. Before she came everything was fine with Atticus's management and was stress free, but now she is just making a mess. Even though Calpurnia is an African American maid, I agree with what Atticus that she is still part of the family and shouldn't leave.

He also says that Jem shouldn't go on outrage in front of her and make a scene about her by saying that he has to be a gentleman. Also Atticus says to Jem, "Whatever she says to you, it's your job to let her make you mad"(133). He says that it's Jem's job to control his temper in front of Mrs. Dubose, and that he should choose wisely on what he says before talking to Mrs. Dubose.

How does Atticus advise Jem to react to Mrs. Dubose's taunts?
Atticus advises Jem to react to Mrs. Dubose's to taunts by saying that he must have his "head high and be a gentleman"(133). Atticus means that Jem shouldn't let the anger of Mrs. Dubose overcome him, and should just brush off whatever she says.
