Y'know, this felt like a pretty bland under-developed, pointless series... Until the Luna arc began! Now it's really working for me!

This is really hard to stick with. There's not enough consistency or continuity to feel like a comic book, but it's also too dense to feel like a comic strip. "Prince Valiant" did it better, I'd say.
