Richard Laymon’s ‘Invitation to Murder’ was a great and bizarre tale! I’m not really sure what happened at the end of it though. It was a fun read for sure though! :)

Into the Pit was a fun, creepy story about a man that flirts with the wring women and finds himself in a precarious situation! Loved it! It was very creepy! I wish it ended a little different, but overall it was a great story!

‘Oscar’s Audition’ was a fantastic, short story that I was looking forward to. Someone told me it was a great story and they weren’t lying. The turn it takes at the end was phenomenal! I liked it a lot! On to the next!

‘I’m Not A Criminal’ was a fun twisted story that is very reminiscent of a newer book that came our recently by Judith Sonnet, which is called ‘No One Rides For Free’. It’s about a hitchhiker with evil intentions. That’s all I’ll say on that. Great story! On to the next!

‘Good Cigar is a Smoke’ was a story that had a comedically dark ending. It was a short and fun read. Can’t say much without giving anything away.

‘The Maiden’ was a great tale! The ending was not what I was expecting at all, but I will say that it seems to me that Laymon forgot about a certain character while finishing up this story.
*SPOILER ALERT*
Supposedly the Maiden kills the two boys and the boy kills Lois, but what happened to Ashley? Did she turn out to be the Maiden? Or did Laymon forget about her while constructing that great ending?

‘The Champion’ was a quick read. It wasn’t the best in the collection, but it is a good story still, which is saying something about this collection! There hasn’t been a bad story yet! The Champion had an ending I saw coming, but it was still fun reading that satisfying ending.

‘Herman’ was an amazing short story! It doesn’t top Barney’s Bigfoot Museum, but it’s still a good one. An imaginary friend isn’t there to help Charlie when she is attacked by a couple of possible dropouts that have bad intentions for her. This story wasn’t too crazy, but it definitely delivers a quick punch when reading it. Great tale!

Barney’s Bigfoot Museum is the best story so far in this incredible collection!!! Wow!!! Riveting! And I can see Laymon’s dark sense of humor on full display here! Wow!!! Incredible story teller, that’s for sure! We lost ourselves a good one. Wow, what a story!
