Hahahah, wish you the best. I actually haven't read any Brandon Sanderson's book but I bought one and I'm very curious about it.

Thank you :) I've read all his Mistborn books (first and second trilogy) and I'll say, no one writes magic systems like he does

Me too, after a while getting back to reading his writing style is like slipping into a favorite t-shirt.

Still, though, Valid AF Lmao. My first book by Sanderson was actually Skyward I think the first one is called? The first two in that series… Then I think I tackled Mistborn in… 2021 ? I think? Haha. I’ve only read the first trilogy though bc I’m totally nervous about picking up book #4 w all new characters & it’s set way in the future from the first trilogy & all… and all my trepidation on this has caused me to have waited long enough that I probably have to read the first trilogy all over again haha to remember details about the magic system & such. Ay yiy yiy. You just gotta jump in the Sanderson waters & take the chance, though! You wont regret it! :-)

Hahaha Sanderson starts the Dedications by pointing out that his editor doesn't get paid more when he produces "a 400,000 word monstrosity like this" and I think I am sufficiently intimidated, too

Aw thank you!! I feel lucky to have him (even if his favorite books take forever to read) BTW you shouldn't feel nervous about starting Wax & Wayne (re: what you wrote above!) The setting and characters are AMAZING and there's plenty of narrative reminders about what happened in Mistborn OG
