When I was a child listening to the audio book I absolutely loved Tom Bombadil. I might have been a bit sad that he wasn't in the movies at that time. Kinda happy now, took me a while to get through the chapters with him. Pretty sure if he'd been in the movie it would have been 30+ minutes with him and I'd much rather watch Aragorn opening doors for 30+ minutes.

Seriously questioning my life choices: Why haven't I read LotR before?
Sure, I've listened to the audiobook about a million times since I was about seven years old. Still, the audiobook is an abbreviated version (both, the German and the English one) and this is so much more fun!
