In chapter 6 we see harry become reborn from his previous muggle life. The Dursley's are a villainous figure in his old life and now in the wizardry world voldemort is introduced. It shows Harry's life is going to change drastically, but it isn't going to be a cushy transition. The only difference is Harry's power, wealth, and responsibilities have increased immensely in the wizardry world.

In chapter 5 harry, Ron, and hermione don't seek adventure the want to find a alternative to get to Hogwarts. They ushaully end up getting caught, especially by snape. In the chapter there is also a reoccurring theme of food. Contrasts of being starved to death at his old home and at the weasleys and Hogwarts he is well fed. Portraying the wizard world is much more humane.

Chapter 4 introduces a setting in diagonal alley which correlates significantly with typical muggle communities. It also sets the stage for many crisises arising from competing wizards such as the high status Malfoys vs the measly weasleys. Lastly harry is singles out by Lockhart who treats him like he's a god, only making the humiliation worse.

In chapter 3 we see the great escape by harry and Ron in his flying car. Harry is moving away from his horrid life with uncle Vernon and moving to his happy place in the wizard world. We see some foreshadowing by Ginny's love for harry. Also some forshadowing with the mention of Lockhart the new defense against the dark arts teacher.

In chapter 2 we notice dobby is introduced and he praises harry. In the wizardry world harry is some high person and gets a lot of unasked attention but, with aunt and uncle he is abused and belittled. In this chapter we also notice author purposely allowing harry to extend his knowledge about wizardry. Making me realize, we are learning all of this at the same pace as Harry.

In chapter 1 we see Harry's extreme displeasure at the Dursley's, allowing us to understand the joy at Hogwarts. He is a flat unlikeable character at his home but once he goes to school he is famous and worthy of a high title. We notice that wizards can live totally normal lives shown from harry being bullied and having friends that forgot about him.
