THere are many many fantastic descriptions of things in this book. i just recently read a description of the clothing at a ball that Tom was at and it was amazingly vivid. A new character has been introduced to the plot who is a bit strange. he wants to take care of THe Prince because he thinks that the Prince has lost his mind and he is kind of creepy. t has gotten easier to understand the language in the book thoug

The plot is still really really painfully slow. It is still following the king but i have grown to like him more and more as the book has gone by because he has seen how the lives of his people have been affected by his father's policies and he has experienced life from a point of view from which he sees how the average person in his kingdom deals with the many hardships of life.

THe plot is really slow right now, i mean things are happening but the plot isn't really going anywhere and it certainly doesn't seem like its leading up to a climax anytime soon, then again I'm only about half way done with the book so I'm not really that surprised. This most recent part that i read was about the prince more than Tom and i have to say, i prefer to read about Tom much much more than the prince.

At this moment, i really don't like the prince edward character but i really like the Tom Canty character. It is because Tom seems so innocent and humble and the Prince is so full of himself and so used to being praised that it has gone to his head and he needs to be taught a lesson, which i assume is what will happen in this book.

This book is rather difficult to read because of the strange language of the time period it was written in. I can understand the dialogue somewhat but i only have a vague understanding. The plot is very interesting and entertaining though and i am enjoying it. It certainly is interesting to learn about the difference between royal life and common life especially after seeing the royal wedding on TV.
