Len and Ainsley seem sorely predictable. Marian is getting interesting now. found the dinner scene between her and Peter quite interesting.

Ainsley seems like an interesting character. Though her plot with Len seems stupid for what seems like an intelligent character. Wondering, if men are this shallow in books by female authors I suppose the reverse is true also? Having a hard time sympathising with Marian, the narrator. She seems so passive and uncaring: is that a reflection on consumerism?
