Enjoying the pacing and momentum of the narrative. The stakes are established early on. Worldbuilding is well-integrated so as not to make the pacing stumble.

My singular complaint is regarding use of f*ck and derivatives.This serves to jarringly derail immersion. I’m not a prude, but just because a word CAN be a noun, verb, adverb and adjective doesn’t mean it SHOULD. By Ch5, immersion is f*ck*d 16 times.
