When our mind is in its prime, we are to commit ourselves to a period of deep thought in order to formulate the principles according to which we shall live for the remainder of our existence. Once we have done so, we can use this as a solid refuge in the future when doubt engulfes us. Uncertainty about our beliefs, can lead to misery. This is unnecessary as we should trust the principles adopted by a youthful mind.
