PROTAGONIST: One of the protagonists in this book is Mo. Mo, also known as the Bluejay, is Meggie's father and Resa's husband. Mo is feared and resented all throughout the land because of what he does and the fact he came back from the dead. He is also one of the very few people who can summon the white women. The white woman are basically angels of death.

ANTAGONIST: The antagonist of this part in the book is the White Women. They have taken Mo and Resa, Meggie, and the strong man are crying over this. The White Women were summoned by Mo and also took Dustfinger earlier in the story.

SUMMARY: Right now the Blue Jay went to a highly dangerous castle in Ombra where he pretends to be a book binder to find out some information. His daughter, Meggie, is fighting over boys and beating herself up for letting her father enter that castle knowing that he could be killed because he is a wanted vigilante. Although the Blue Jay knows that it is dangerous, he also knows that he really needs this information.

SETTING: The setting is in Ombra. Mo is in a castle pretending to be a book-binder. He is currently within the castle in front of Balbulus and the prince, they are talking about how he is better than the local book-binders and whether they can trust him or not. He is worried that they have found out that he is the Bluejay and that they will execute him.

POV: 3rd person limited is the point of view in this book. The narrator is telling the story but says how Elinor feels. Although there are many other characters, Elinor is the main point of view.
