I think the book is a character v. character for many different reasons. At the beginning they were working together to get rid of that weird goblin thing which is a character v. character. After they figured out Errol was evil they then drove away to Fable Haven when some goofy monsters shows up and started attacking them, which was another instance of character v. character.

The story is a mix of Voyage and overcoming the monster for many different reasons. First of all it is a voyage since the group travels to many places to get a certain thing like the frog statue or the amulet. It is also overcoming the monster because they are working hard to try and make the exterminate the weird goblin guy.

I predict that they are going to steal the toad figurine from the vampiric owner of the funeral home that they are probably going to break into. The part I am currently reading takes place in a school but it might change looking at the cover. The main character seems to have some sort of ability to see magical stuff like, being the only one to see the new kid's true identity. In conclusion this book is a Fantasy + Mystery because of the mysteries surrounding these strange things which are fantasy.
