I get it, usually most of Zapata's heroines are some level of pushovers. But Gracie is a ball of loneliness, horniness (my God, the description of his beautiful face and sculpted body, I cannot) and self-pity that is difficult to get behind.

Gracie is a particular brand of doormat that is difficult to read and root for. <spoiler> Girl, it took literal torture (by someone else, ofc otherwise I wouldn't be reading this book) for him to even be decent to you. Why the fuck is she apologising all the fucking time. </spoiler>
