It is so heart-wrenching to see how Andrew went from someone who was so balanced in the beginning of the book to someone who is now so consumed with pain and disillusions that just knowing his lover is dead makes him want to end his own life. He is no longer the spiritually calm boy but a broken man with only one purpose in life and then it can all be over for good :'-(

Lmao!! I'm sorry!! I just had to get that out!! It is sad :-( but I really recommend it!! I'm almost done with it. There's three parts in it and I just got to the last part. I desperately want to finish but I've gotta get some sleep! Grrrrrr
