AUDIENCE AND PURPOSE: I think the purpose of this book is to help the readers who are usually young soccer players succeed by giving them her life experiences. After every chapter she gives a tip on how to succeed in things. Each chapter is also about the ups and downs of her coming of age and her life. She makes it easy to relate to some of her tips by giving an example of something that happened in her childhood.

VISUALIZE: Some of the moments I could visualize in the book "Breakaway" is when she mentioned when after she scored a goal she looked around for her parents. I knew exactly what she meant at the moment when she said she felt like she was flying when she was running down the field with the ball and it was just her and the goal. I could visualize what she meant in these sentences because I've witnessed the same thing.

CONFLICT: I think the main conflict from where I'm at in the book, Breakaway, is person versus self. Most of the chapters I've read so far are about how her being nervous is holding her back from exceeding in her sport. She finally started a soccer club team when she was 13 because she wanted to wait until she was mature enough. She explained how the only person standing in her way of excelling in soccer was herself.
