Almost finished the book and still little sign of a decent plot and he is still banging on with endless tedium of navy methods. I feel like I am reading a maintenance manual.

This book is very disappointing and feels like Larry Bond got his hands on numerous navy manuals. I am up-to page 220 and there is still no plot development but page after page of how the navy keeps watch or cleans a torpedo room. On and on it goes. I have taken to scanning and jumping section to cut the tedium and boredom.
