I was in love with Matthew before I started reading this book and it has made me love him more. His role in romcoms took my heart and I did not realize that his story was anything like this. Usually when people see actors they don’t think they had a tough life, yet it started out tough for Matthew.

I am really enjoying this book, I especially love the advice that he randomly gives out in analogies such as, " I had to give em a little yellow light so I could have my green light" (McConaughey 170). In saying this he was saying he had to be modest and slow them down in what they were saying about him so that he could be seen in a better light and have a better, less cocky show off time.

I would never have predicted the Dooley family stay being a “ big Australian prank” (McConaughey 82). I thought that Matthew was going to get hurt at the Dooley's but he ended up only hurting the door.
