Geraldine Read this a few years ago and found it very interesting, as is all Gitta Sereny's writing

I honestly haven't read anything else by Gitta, but the whole premise "children who kill" lends itself to so many other important discussions. I'm only on a page 100, but already I can see these themes developing. In that way this is reminding me of "Dead Man Walking" where the death penalty is addressed within the context of one man's story, but branches out into a broader discussion about the legal justice system, inequalities, victim's rights, and even a he nature of "evil," and what that may mean.

Your comment prompted me to look at her author page and her other books. Lots there I'd be interested in reading. I think I came across this one as a goodreads suggestion based on other books I had read.

Geraldine You are right - she tackles difficult subjects but as a way of moving from the specific to the general - do try her other books. I love history and studied German culture at University so some of her books are just my cup of tea.
