To address the issue of rapidly increasing mental health issues in students the author uses a jaw-dropping statistic "One study found that an average high school student today likely deals with as much anxiety as did a psychiatric patient in the 1950s" (Fagan 110). I found this evidence absolutely wild, this is definitely something that needs to be made more aware of.

The author discusses the lack of mental health resources in a college athletic department: "Athletic departments more often than not have numerous staff members fully certified to treat physical injuries, yet most don't have a single licensed mental health professional on the full time payroll" (Fagan 88). I think this poses a very serious issue for the future of young athletes.

In part of my book, the author has a discussion with a friend who struggles with mental health to help understand better how to write this book and comes to this conclusion: "It's so incredible to me that someone is feeling existence in such a vastly different way" (Fagan 25). I think the whole conversation can serve as a mirror and a window in our lives.
