I'm nor sure if it is right to call the main character the protagonist in this case because the word seems to come with good quantifications.

So to add to the wonderful persona of our lovely main character, we find out he was the lawyer who defended a man who murdered his wife in cold blood. I wish this was the worst thing on the list but it isn't. Somehow all this doesn't seem to bother him.

wow even more deaths? I am begining to loose track of how the characters have died. So many murders, drownings, and sicknesses.

I am amazed at how slow I am going through this book. Even with the developing plot, the language is dull. But I am enjoying finding out why this murder has been planned.

Actually I am starting to find it interesting. I know I flip flop from liking it to finding it utterly boring, but now i think there have been a fair amount of plot clarification for the actually plot twists to be exciting. I think I can actually get through this novel.

so I think I have to admit something: I am lost. Utterly lost. Oh and not a good "I have lost myself in this book it is that amazing", just more of a I don't really know what is going on right now, help me. I don't really know what happened. I think it is a mix of the awkward flashbacks in the writing that is already in past tense, or the old british style language, or maybe I just zoned out. I hope I can find it out

Okay, so the story has picked up a little bit. It is still not a breeze to get through the chapters but I am beginning to find find it interesting enough to read more than the bare minimum. I keep pushing forward and I actually think it could become enjoyable. It has some plot twists regarding friends, families, and enemies.

I've always read more than the minimum for free choice reading....until this book. It has become a chore to read it.

I am beginning to find it a little more interesting, but at the same time the story is confusing me. The narrator is telling a story about another man who some how links to the story of his childhood, but I don't understand the connection. I hope it all becomes a little clearer and exciting.

Still bored out of my mind. I really hope this is simply a slow beginning. I hope it will pick up and become less of a chore to read.

I'm honestly finding it all a little boring. I like the concept of the book, but something in the authors style is making it harder for me do get through the pages. I have to force myself to do the reading. I hope it will pick up a bit.
