God, she really drags characters through the mud

Oh god!!! This book is completely sucking me in, constantly thinking about it and the characters as if it were autobiographical. I know these are not real people but I NEED to know what happens next.

This last part has been rough!!! I was so hopeful and then hope dashed….

Any of those would have been acceptable; any of those would have led to a larger conversation that would have been reparative, or at the very least preventative
