Always a shocking, inspiring treat to read O’Connor! One of the greatest story collections of all time. Probably 6 of the 10 are essential, while 3 or 4 from “Everything That Rises Must Converge” are.

“Revelation” and “Parker’s Back” are two of the greatest American short stories ever written, but they’re in Everything That Rises. But “A Good Man” is likely the complete ensemble to begin on.
