The story is now being told from the second character (first person POV), Cambridge boy Hugo, and it has tactfully woven in the first character Holly Sykes. Rich, layered language, but this section is feeling a little bloated. I'm persisting because every so often I find a nugget of brilliance.

I'm hanging on...The rich layering of time and setting is perfectly executed, but I still want each chapter to get me closer to the premise of this story. The plotting is beginning to accelerate again as Holly meets with Crispin and explains to him the origins of the "Radio People."
The dialogue is genuine and amplifies each character. Nothing needs to be explicitly shown except only through dialogue.
