"As a scholar, I have always found dreams to be frustrating—if not lazy—
motifs. They might be portents or prophecies, messages or mysteries. Dreams might pass through gates of horn and speak true, or sneak through gates of ivory and speak false. At its heart, a dream is a door."

If you combed through enough fairy tales, untangled their roots, and shook out their branches, you would find that they are infested with oaths. Oaths are brittle things, not unlike an egg. Though they go by different names depending on the myth—troths and geis, vows and tynged—there is one thing they all share: they must be broken for there to be a story.

" I never paused to wonder why she had taken my tears for herself. In the
stories we read, tears were no less precious than a god’s golden blood. I
should have told Indigo they were not hers to take. But I would’ve offered
anything to follow her anywhere."

So far I enjoy very much, it is very mysterious but I am liking the main character very much. And there are many references of myths that I love.
