This book has been a slog. I wish I was a person that could DNF novels because I haven’t enjoyed reading any bit of this. The main character makes the most irresponsible choices and is overall difficult to empathize with. I understand that the author’s intention was to show her progressively becoming more fractured as she deals with prior trauma, but her behavior is barely tolerable and erratic.
