What a beautiful book. Touches a very sensitive matter, the position of women in a Muslim society. Described with humour, through the innocent eyes of a child, it is sad to think how a way of thinking, leads to such gender inequality. The end was a relief, the author managing to follow her dreams. It's written with respect, love and sympathy towards the culture, with a hint of nostalgia and a lack of criticism.
