already loving this to pieces. the theme of identity (and losing identity) and how your political status affects it is already SO evident from Richard's internal monologues to the names that characters use for each other and themselves (which tartt puts a lot of emphasis on, so it's fun to notice). i keep staring at it longingly while working because i just want to get back to it!!
