Topic: VISUALIZE
In the book, "code name verity" there are lots of descriptive words in some parts of a book when a character arrives at a new scene. For example in pages 185 "The island citadel glorious in the moonlight, casting long moon shadows over the swelling tide in a bay". Another scene where I can visualize at is in page 135 "The Gestapo use the ground floor and 2 mezzanines".

Topic: Audience and Purpose
In the book "Code Name Verity" the Audience and Purpose of the book is not that well known and difficult to find. I think the audience of the book is more towards teenagers with the main characters being a pilot and a spy which is uncommon at that time. The purpose of "Code Name Verity" is to talk about how life was like in world war II while telling a fictional story.

Topic: MAKING CONNECTIONS
Code name variety is a book that makes it very obvious that it takes place in world war 2. Going by this knowledge I can make a text to the world connection because it happened in real life. The reason I made this connection was because I have heard of it in real life which fits the standard of text to world.
