I'm out. This book is completely ridiculous.

So the amazing Dr Roy Wallis is now going to inject a paralyzing agent straight into the guy's spine... with a needle he got from his lab... that was being used on rats... my dude, you use 20/22g quincke needles on a human spine, and 26g needles on rats... you absolutely do not have a needle that is capable of getting into the spine there... nor the technique required, because its HARD. My god.

Is everyone in this book stupid? "The gas" doesn't make you go insane, *sleep deprivation does that all by itself* 😭😭 y'all so dumb I want to hurl my phone

"Significant changes in both subjects were observed today, including increased [...] emotional liability" MR BATES YOU MEAN EMOTIONAL *LABILITY*. NOT LIABILITY.

"This guy's never hit on me, so he must be gay" girl excuse me??

I don't think Mr Bates did even a single Google search on the effects of sleep deprivation before writing this garbage heap of a book. Mr Bates, please familiarise yourself with Peter Tripp's case, where he stayed awake for 201 hours live on radio. Reading about him is the literal bare minimum I'd expect. Your bar is so slow.

Mr Bates. Your liver does not control your urine output, your kidneys do. Your KIDNEYS.

This has now firmly become a Hate Read.

The medical inaccuracies are physically hurting me. Alzheimer's and ASD do not come under psychology; ASD is not a disease; nightmares are not vital for good mental health.
