Really enjoying the book so far. The scene is set and character interactions though tentative at present will no doubt blossom soon. The language is eloquent and prose almost poetic. This is a wonderful gentle read packed full of fascinating historical detail. It's also an added bonus that I have visted the places described so far :-)

This book is like a sensory garden. Really enjoyed the scenes from Pinawalla and descriptions and backstory of the hill country leading to Kandy.
