Big Bird's puppeteer holds his right arm vertically which goes up into and controls Bird's head, eyes, and beak, while his left arm extends horizontally and controls one of Bird's wings. The puppeteer's head is wedged somewhere in Bird's neck; he wears a monitor around his own neck which displays a (mirrored) image of what BB is doing; basically his only way of seeing around. Everyone should know this wild fact.
