Hazel is depressed. She is depressed because she would rather be alone watching tv or reading a book than hanging out with friends, but she does seem to hang out with Augutous waters. She was hanging out with Her friend Kaitlin she said that she had to go home, but she really went to go sit on a bench in the mall to go read a book.

hazel changes from depressed and shy to out going and content. This happens because of Augustus waters. When they fell in love everything changed about her instead of having marathons of top model she was with Augustus. This shows that Augustus had a good influence on Hazels life

The theme of the fault in our stars is love. This is the theme because hazel and Augustus are in love. Augustus loves hazel even when he knows she's not going to live very much longer. Hazel is so greatful because even thought she wasted her wish on going to Disney world but Augustus use his wish to take him and her to Amsterdam to see the surger of imperial infliction.

In the Fault in Our Stars Hazel worries that the cancer has spread through her body when ever she feels pain."I imagined the tumor metastasizing into my bones, boring holes into my skeleton, a slithering eel of insidious intent"(102). she is saying the eel is like the cancer and it is subtle , no one would sense it but it has harmful intentions.
