I like the set up for this. Could it be biological weapon theft, pirate treasure, drugs, sex, money? Each is plausible. And, again, I like being inside this guy's head. He's funny, but he's aware that sometimes his humor puts women off as often as it charms them. His driving in circles in the parking lot yelling "stop" to the security guards running after him yelling "stop" had me cracking up.

I asked the doctor, “Do you get visitors from the Army Chemical Corps?”
The doctor looked at me and commented, “Whatever I say, you see something to question. I’m glad you’re listening.”
“I’m listening… for the answer to my question”
About to read book 2, so eagerly re-reading book 1.

I'm worn out. The first 90% of this book was step-by-step ...character introduction, clue dropping, witty dialogue, detective work and story telling. The last few chapters got me sad, mad, adrenaline pumped and a little wind blown... I'm about to be finished and I'm kinda bummed about that.

This guy is kinda funny, in a smart ass kind of way. So far the mystery is developing nicely. I like his point of view.
