Kurda says he wasn't trying to trade he was actually trying to make the vampeneze become friends with the vampires because they are somewhat cousins. Kurda said when the vampeneze came in to steal the rock of blood he would've turned himself and got sentenced just as he did when he hot caught.

In this book the vampire Darren was thrown down a river with a hope to die. He met some wolves that he had raised as cubs. They helped her survive. The person who tried to kill her was a traitor. He ran back to Vampire Mountain to help save other vampires before he would be able to become a prince and help the vampreze kill the other vampires. The person he acused name is Kurda and he didn't and deny what he did.
