Mike has lost hus center field position to Oscar however Oscar has been caught and cannot play so Mike is in center field again but he doesn't want it. Also it turns out coach Cody is in on this to with Oscar. Oscar also played on The Cuban Major League team.

There are rumors of kids hacking into the school grades and changing some of the baseball players grades and coach is getting suspicious. Also getting suspicious about their player who is 25.

Mike is a junior who it is looking like he will finally get to play starting center field for his varsity baseball team until a really talented Mexican baseball players comes in and is a real threat of getting in the way of his varsity dreams. Mike by opening day does retain center field thou. Even after getting in trouble a little before the season starts with beating up a kid.
