They got a divorce. As a kid with parents that are divorced it is definitely sometimes hard, but I would much rather have divorced parents than having a dad who doesn't treat my mom the way she deserves to be treated. Knowing that Lily asked Ryle to get a divorce in the hospital bed like 5 minutes after Emerson was born is sad.

Lily doesn't know what to do. And I notice a repetition in how everybody finds out Lily is actually pregnant. They are shocked for a moment then super excited and happy. This is important because it shows the emotions of the characters and how Lily felt telling them the big news.

It was really awkward while reading, because lily found out about many secrets about Atlas especially. This is very important to the story because Lily thought Atlas was like the only person she could trust, but even Atlas was lying to her during the hard times Lily is going through.

Lily thought that her marriage would be the best decision of her life, but in this moment in the book she's not sure if that's really the case. This is the second time Ryle has hurt Lily. This is important to the story because it makes Lily really think about her marriage.

Lily's identity she hasn't really found. She hasn't really found what she wants in life, except she wants a successful flower shop (which she got) and to marry Ryle which surprisingly they are doing after six months of dating.

This book is getting really good. A mirror I found was when Lily was talking about her dad and said she has a better relationship with her mom. I have that same feeling but my dad is still way nicer to me then Lily's dad was to her. A window I found was the feeling of moving to a different state without a parent coming with me, I have never moved out of state and it worries me to think about it.

A signpost I found was again and again, the author keeps putting the letters that Lily "wrote to Ellen" in the story. This affects the story because it tells about Lily's past in a unique way, that I feel like most authors wouldn't.

This book is really pulling me in and I just want to keep reading. But I have a very strong feeling that Lily is going to end up finding Atlas again and it may ruin her relationship with Ryle. A signpost I found was again and again, Lily has been scared and afraid of what Ryle will say ever single time he sees her, even though he said that he would never talk to her ever again, he did.

The book is already getting good, and I did not even have to wait for anything to start it just jumped right into the story. A signpost I noticed was memory moment, it is when Lily keeps remembering when her father was alive and would abuse her mother. This affects the story because it shows something difficult that Lily has already gone through in her life.

I just started reading it so I have not learned to many things about Lily or Ryle. But a window for what I do know is that Ryle is a Neurosurgeon and I want to be in the medical field when I'm older. Also, Lily is a redhead just like me.
