I read 90 minutes this week. Scout has made new friends like Dill and she is under the wing of her older brother Jem. Scout, Jem, and Dill come up with different activities during the summer. Most of them consist of trying to make Authur (Boo) Radley come out of his house. This book is interesting because certain dialect is used to explain the setting and time.

I read 50 minutes of TKM this week and 90 minutes total. I was almost positive that Jem and Scout would be attacked before the end of the book, and it actually happened. Bob Ewell attacked Jem and Scout for revenge. The end of the book explained how Jem broke his arm. Throughout the book, Jem and Scout are taught how to use empathy. I enjoyed this book because it had an interesting climax and it kept you interested.

90min/week.Tom Robinson and Mayella Ewell are going against each other in court. Mayella is favored because she is a young white girl and Tom is a black adult man. Tom is completely honest throughout the trial and it isn't hard to see that Mayella is lying at some points.I think that Tom will be guilty, but he will be punished for something that he didn't do. There is no medical evidence that Tom committed the crime.

I read 90 minutes this week. Atticus told Scout and Jem that there aren't any mobs in Maycomb, but the kids are still scared for Atticus's safety because he is defending Tom Robinson. I believe that Atticus or the kids will be attacked or harassed in some way sooner or later.

Scout and Jem have grown and with a journey to Cal's church, they get to kind of see how African Americans live. Some of them didn't go to school and the majority of them couldn't read. I wonder if Jem or Scout shares their experience with anyone.

I read 90 minutes this week. Scout sees her older brother Jem as a role model. Jem is always showing Scout the right way to do things and he lets her know when she is wrong. Dill, Scout, and Jem spend each summer together while Dill stays with his aunt in Maycomb. I wonder if Jem and Scout will remain friends with Dill throughout the rest of the book.
