"It's weird, but I actually just realized today that it's worse to be hurtful than to get hurt."

I must say that I truly appreciate the authors ability to bring each child character to life, in this book and in such a realistic manner. I'm actually anxious about what's going to happen next and I'm reflecting while reading this like, if I could only be as intrepid and innocent a child sometimes.

Lucky just took me back to those days of being carefree and full of laughter with a good friend. I am truly miles and miles away from the person that I used to be. I wonder if I will ever have close friends again.
