Oh wow... The art takes a sudden and remarkable dip with the shift from Berni Wrightson to Nestor Redondo. Redondo's art is fine, but it doesn't fit the series. Wrightson's has that EC Comics vibe that a horror comic really benefits from, while Redondo seems more appropriate for a romance comic or a war comic. Wrightson's was vibrantly organic, but Redondo's feels...plastic.

Wow, I didn't realize the encounter with Batman was so early in the run! Wein does a good job of it, and it doesn't feel out of place because it fits together with the plot that had existed for the entire preceding plot. Also of note -- remember back in the 20th century when every German was a mad scientist, either a Mengele or a tragic Frankenstein?
