Rereading this Koontz classic before I ship it off to the donate pile. I'm really curious to see if it holds up in my mind. I gave it five stars the first time, so we will see.

This is very good. Better than I remember it being, in fact. 🙂🤩

She said, "If I'm going to tell you, it has to be now. I don't have much time. I'm becoming."
"Becoming?"
"I feel it. I don't know who I'll be in a month from now, or six months. Someone I won't like to be. Someone who terrifies me."
"I don't understand."

Typically wordy, yet I can't deny Koontz's way with words, as well as his imagination. Christopher Snow's character development, in particular, is impressive so far, and well-thought-out.

I am not psychic. I do not see signs and portents in the sky. To my eye, the lines in my palm reveal nothing about my future, and I don't have a Gypsy's ability to discern the patterns of fatw in wet tea leaves.
