This is a well researched and excellent analysis of a woman who fought for the rights and reforming for women on the eastern coast. Around 1860, the main character was admitted by her own husband, Theophilus to be carefully and cruelly put in an insane asylum. Her name was Elizabeth and what she did to defy the head superintendent who oversees her staff who work with her there is beyond belief!
